I'm a vegan. I try to be a raw vegan but I'm not always successful. In the winter I simply must have my hot soups and teas. It's hard to be a raw vegan and buy locally at the same time.
About Me:
I'm 56 years old and live in the Midwest of the U.S.. I'm a Kucinich supporter and I'm very active in trying to establish a Department of Peace. Organic gardening is a passion of mine and I teach young children about growing our food locally. Since voting in the elections hasn't done me much good, I came to the conclusion that voting with my dollars is very important. When I purchase items , I make sure they are fair trade, cruelty free and local if possible. Writing About Me stuff has never been easy for me. If you have any questions just ask. I find that much easier. Peace!
Hi Christy!!!!! you're soo sweet I didn't now you were Alethea's momy 'till I saw your pictures. She's as sweet as you too!!!
I'm actually very impressed, some people have the mistaken idea that "this vegan thing" is something we young people have come up with just now. WRONG!! ahah I wish my mother would at least go vegetarian I care soo much for her health and we have history of heart problems in my family, but she says she's eaten meat for soo long in her life....cough...cough....shes 41, no where near old lol, and that it'd be really hard for her.
But Madame, you just gave me a great example to show my mother that it is possible!!!!!
By the way You do not at all look your age, your skin is soo beautiful!!!!
Much love,
~The Hippie one

I'd like to invite you to join a couple of discussions: One is >> The MYTH of “FREE-RANGE” EGGS. My post contains vital info that your veggie & non-veggie friends might not know about... even you might be surprised! Please spread the word & also add your thoughts to the discussion.
Another discussion is titled “Getting the message out” please >> click here. I’m inspired to encourage people to join this particular thread in the hopes that they will reply very carefully to the original discussion post, which opens with the line “I feel the subject of preventing animal cruelty im(p)edes the Vegetarian/Vegan message rather than helps it.” I hope you too will feel inspired to add your thoughts to this delicate discussion. Please invite your friends to join in so that we can bring more light of wisdom to this sharing!

You will find it feels wonderful not participating in the meat-eating world's murderous secrets. Vegans have nothing to hide and everything to gain by changing the World now. Don't believe their lies. They say, "We are not ready yet. Maybe in a hundred years". Again, do not believe their lies. We will never be ready and it is now or never.
Just like Abe, only one better - I feel good when I do good. I feel bad when I am silent. Silence is complicity. Don't you wish someone let you know the truth when you were young? At least to know they have a choice? I would have wanted that. It took me 43 years of trusting the ones I loved - the world. Some people live and die with never knowing. The World hides it, just like the people we love lied to us about Santa. Christmas and the World was never the same - seemed cold and heartless - until we found the truth and went Vegan.
Give the gift of Truth, this and every year!
