ok, but now that i think of it they could actually be faearies which would be the result of faery and ear with an 'ies' to indicate plurality. i hope that was a helpful solution to a non-existent problem.

"fearie" ears? as in faerie ears? is that another way to spell faerie or does it mean something else?
