No peace when people eat meat

- Are you Vegetarian, Vegan or something else?
- I started out as a Vegetarian around my 21st birthday last yr. I've just made the transition of going Vegan around July.
- About Me:
- I am a Chicago native that is currently living in Central, Fl., not my choice but where I have to be at the moment. I'll either move back home or to Califonia.
I'm someone that is very loyal to friends and family but i'm not a very big people person, obviously on why I went Vegan. I think that people are the problems with what is going on in the world, it's hard to feel sympathy for others sometimes when they are so cruel. If most people weren't stubborn and ignorant, things that are happening to other creatures wouldn't be happening. BUT I am not someone that condones violence on other people, I just am not always sympathetic with humans as I am with others.
I believe that owning a pet isn't the big of a deal, I enjoy sharing my life with other creatures; my animals are my children. I don't want any children in my future, unless I adopt, so I call my three little birds my kids. And I know that there's some animal rights people that don't believe that owning birds is right but I had them before I turned in to an activist, it would be just as cruel to bring them in to a sanctuary because it would leave them extremely confused; they would probably die or get picked on by other birds. Especially Birdie, she is extremely timid and she wouldn't survive. So yes, I like PETA, but don't agree with how animals shouldn't be pets. Animals need us and they are more likely to survive in our presence than on their own.
Music, I love music; my goal for the future is to become a well known singer//songwriter - wouldn't mind being in the movies either, it just has always been a passion of mine; I think I could use animal rights to make a music career out of.
I love to help homeless and urgent animals find homes, i've helped many through Myspace bulletins; reposting saves lifes.
In the beginning I really only had my laptop to really do on line activism, there's nothing in my area that has to do with animal rights; kind of lost in that at this point. But I have started to leave random leaflets around dr's offices and store's bulletin boards.
