Are you Vegetarian, Vegan or something else?
vegan since feb 2007, vegetarian since 1994

my first job at 16 was at mc donald's. i started thinking about how the meat i smelled cooking all day was an animal and quit eating red meat, then chicken/fish soon after. then when i finally got outta texas and in a great area to be vegan, i changed as soon as i was ready! i really freakin miss real cheese i must say. because of pizza, nachos, queso...but i'm learning to make some pretty good stuff and found some good things to help.

now i'm... VEGAN FOR LIFE! (that's the next tattoo i want!)
About Me:
i'm kinda quiet and shy until i get to know someone but after that i think i'm pretty cool. i would like to think of myself as a cross between daria, emily the strange & miranda (in sex and the city), at least that's a good comparison i think. i love sarcaasm. i try to keep positive but sometimes you just have to think practical. i am a great friend, i would do anything for a good friend. i am a hopeless romantic but have the worst luck with love, but i want it more than anything.

i'm really into music, going to shows, art, graphic design, movies, vegan food of all types, family/friends, animals, traveling.

top fav bands: silverchair, deftones, coheed and cambria, fair to midland, smashing pumpkins, placebo, 30 seconds to mars, my chemical romance, the doors

top fav movies: eternal sunshine of a spotless mind, the crow, american beauty, nightmare before christmas, across the universe, napoleon dynamite

hey! got another interview... i'll let you know how that goes. it's scheduled for next week. that's really my only big news. we got more snow... more to come in a few days too. jake went crazy diggin in it. gus has been homebound cause it's too much to take the kids and the dog and the ferret out. he'll go out in time for the next storm. hope all is well over there!!!

Hey there!! thought you might get a kick out of this: Aria (the baby) walked up to gus' cage ( a two story ferret nation- it's huge!) and waves, and says "hi gus!" he then streched (was in the hammock at the bottom level) and seemed to try to reach his paw to her! it was adorable!!! :) other than that, everyone is sick with this cold that won't seem to leave my house. jake (puppy) has been doing so much better with the biting. we've actually been able to let him near Aidan for longer periods of time, but he's always been better with Aria, so we never worried about him with her. besides it was a male aversion from when he was abused we think. that's pretty much all my news. How're things going on your end???

And well, I think it's easier to be vegan in your country, a friend of mine lives there and she told me that you have a lot of vegan options in the supermarket, Brazil is starting to consider us now xD .. we are happy because they have just created a law and now the products must have an advice, so we can see which thing has animal derivatives without reading all the label :~

The green V is a brazilian project, I think you know "orkut", that is more popular in Brazil than "myspace".so, we started the campaign in orkut, every vegan has a green "V" on his picture. And now we have just found out Veghaven xD (sorry if my english is bad, I'm not used to write in another language)

Hi Jacinda. Thanks, it was super fun to take that picture... I guess I am pretty lucky to have old pups that don't seem to mind much.
Funny... my first job was at Mcdonalds too, except I was already a vegetarian when I got the job. I specifically asked to not work "the grill" and of course they put me on the grill. So nasty! I quit 3 days later :)
