Hello fellow veggies :)

I wasn't going to join this site as I have so many profiles on myspace to keep up to date, but seeing what a great job Chris and co have done and knowing all my veggie family are under one roof, I had to create a profile!! I dont have much spare time on my hands as always doing vegan outreach, but do my best to log in and answer comments/etc.

So a bit about me.. well I turned veggie at 8years old after seeing the horrors of the slaughter house accidently on TV! My mum was great and encouraged vegetarianism, then she became one to. Only I didn't stop there, I became a progressive vegan at 11 and even now at 26 I am still finding out more and more - I believe I came to earth to be an advocate for animals and to teach peace and compassion to all living beings.

Veganism is my life, activism engulfs me.. I do it from the moment I get up till early hours the next morning.. if anyone is new to activism and wants to know how to be more effective or would like to help out me, then please holla!

I use whatever God has given me to reach out to as many as possible.. I am blessed to be in the position to do full time activism.. I have many ideas to change this world for the better, and I will make them happen! Hopefully in the future I will also fulfil my dream of recording some animal rights tracks to sell for charity.. people say I waste my voice, but I am not one for publicly performing (yet) so would like to at least use what I have to raise money for animals and to send a profound message out to the world.. I am a firm beliver that beauty IS within - no matter how pretty you are on the outside, if your not internally happy and don't project your love and light out to others, you can never be truley beautiful. An outer shell that is beautiful can't be complete without the soul that shines. Real beauty and what others will love and respect you for is WHO you are, your passions, beliefs, the spirit within, the light in your heart. Those who think otherwise are conditioned by societies ideals of what beauty is, not everyone is so blind and thankfully more people are waking up.
I was always against conventional beauty contests as they stood for the opposite - and all about the 'image' I believe they are very destructive to young girls who aspire to be this 'false' beauty; for this reason, I never imagined to be taking part in so many myself. I realised that in every negative situation theres a positive, it just depends what your perspective is. By being in these competitions I could help change the stance of them whilst promoting veganism and becoming a bigger voice for those without.I appeared on ITV plays The Mint 2 years back for their Ms Mint competition and won £5,000 which was invaluable in helping me to carry with campaign work and helped me face fears at the same time; I suffer with anxiety, so it was a big challenge for me travelling down to London and appearing on live TV - I have started to take my own advice : 'feel the fear and do it anyway' so always looking to push myself that step further until the anxiety doesnt control me anymore.I also won Petas Cutest Veggie alive comp, which led to me gaining great contacts to help with the cause - I entered Miss Myspace as many animal lovers were upset that one of the contestants was a big fur wearer, I made this into a positive opportunity to raise awareness of 'Compassion in Fashion'. I am representing all vegetarians/vegans, whilst raising awareness, so if you would like to support me you can click on the banner below to vote - I will need the most support in January when the final is on - not sure I would win, as alot of the girls have zillions of myspace friends from 'robotting it' but to be in the top 10 would raise awareness! I am not in it for anything else, I don't need to be in these beauty competitions to make myself feel that I am someone.. it's all for the animals and another outlet to educate those who don't know what veganism is, or who stereotype us !!
