I'm a student of Philosophy & Theology, but my interests are wide-ranging! My ambitions have changed a great deal over the years, but at present, I'd like to pursue a career in Clinical Psychology, or as an academic, specialising in a Social Science (the former is more likely than the latter though!). Although I am required to study analytical Western Philosophy, I am more intrigued by Oriental and Indian Philosophy.
The two most important pursuits in my life: wisdom and integrity. I believe in learning for learning's sake (though my sloth-like tendencies don't always reflect this!)- I'd like to learn as much as possible about as many things as possible, but it is the knowledge that enables one to act as an ethical, spiritually aware individual that is most important to me, because it is only this knowledge that is truly transformative. I think this knowledge is different for everybody- some find it outside themselves, some find it within: I believe we each have a personal truth (which may or may not include existing philosophies or spiritual paths); a way of living and expanding that aids us in reaching the heights of our potential, creatively, mentally, spiritually and so on- I believe it is the union of personal truths that comprise the universal truth.
My goal is to evolve with each day, with a clear and open mind- to think and act without irrational prejudice, and to extend compassion to whomever and whatever I encounter. I want to recognise the opportunities for growth and development in every moment- and to understand that there is no set destination; no final achievement- only new layers of understanding (in this mortal realm, that is- if there is a final destination, it probably exists in that tranquil space beyond time!).
tis the season to be jolly. and i wish you all the happiness in every step of your way. it need not matter whether we know each other or not, or whether you feel the Christmas spirit, i still wish you smiles and laughters. i hope that you will always find something that can make you appreciate life. always.
Thanks, I enjoyed reading your About Me section as well. Not sure that I can give you a short answer on what I appreciate about the neo-Pagan movement, besides a morality which puts the Earth above the interests of all these psychotic apes. Would love to start a conversation with you on the subject, however!
Hey thanks for the request , I love your site is pretty . and well yes I'm a music Major and I am glad that you enjoy music as well, There's a lot of operas out there it depends on what type of things do you like, for instance if you want something tragic then defenectly you have to check Dido and Aenas by Purcell and so on . Have a bless day!
Hi Twilight Whisper! Thanks for the comment. My hair is naturally a dark brown. This pic was taken last summer, but I am missing having bright red hair. ;)
It's great to meet you! Baltimore is pretty veg-friendly but not as much as Portland from what I hear. Ithaca, NY is a great place, too, I love it there. I'd love to visit London sometime!
