You know, Saturday was the Winter Solstice. People living in tune with the earth took(take) this time of year to appreciate the return of the sun, and with it the ability to grow food and sustain ourselves. Our society is so far away from that now.

......Nature and the Gods and Goddesses of it are sometimes used by evil and by good, upsetting the yin and yang of our mortal human lives.
The wolf story, in my eyes, is the story of the older parent who is easily swayed by negativity, doubt and fear and so, succumbs to evil, denial, envy, domination as a way of life. The birth of life is the peaceful side of the wolf. The child brings hope, love, compassiona for the earth, much like indians did, but without the warfare.
Just thought you might like to hear from me.
May your paths all have peace and evolutionary revelations littering them like fairies in the woods soaring with joy over the birth of a new member.
I hope you're finding your 2008 path a lot more recognizable, a lot more meaningful and a lot more productive.

I hope that you’ll feel moved to participate in the forum discussions, the groups & the Chat Room, they’re all part of the life blood of this community & are what really sets it apart! Looking forward to watching your page blossom & to getting to know you, Sister! Check out the groups I belong to (via my page), there are several there that I know would interest you.
I'm curious to know how you heard about this community? I did through Chris via MySpace. Hope you'll be able to bring your friends over here! We still want to get lots more people to sing up. Did you know that the mere number of members affects the level of corporate sponsorship VegHaven gets? And because ad revenue goes to worthy animal causes (that the membership themselves vote on) just by signing up you get to make a difference for the animals in need, regardless of how active or not you choose to be within the community. But of course, once you get here, it's too fun not to dive in, there's so much going on!
