- Are you Vegetarian, Vegan or something else?
- I am a new vegan. I was a vegetarian for about two years with health being my primary motivator at the time. To be honest, self preservation wasn't a strong enough urge for me to stick to my guns and I lapsed back into meat eating for about one year, making the excuse to myself that I needed a diet change for the sport I was participating in. Recently I lost my beautiful Border Collie dog, I watched her die. Despite her being a 20 year old dog and there being no choice but to let her go, the anguish was so strong that I began to feel that I could never be a part of deliberately hurting an animal for something as stupid as eating foods I could live without. In the following days, media began to 'randomly' pop up to me in my travels, on websites, on the news, about the horrid torture going on in factory farms. I read about it and I saw video footage, and I knew that every one of those animals was and is just as precious as my beautiful little dog. From that moment, I decided that I couldn't care less if, hypothetically, I died of protein deficiency or soy overdose, I would never ever contribute to that trade of torture as long as I live.

- Interestingly, within one week of giving up meat and dairy and going vegan, a method fell into my lap to get my relatively young business pumping. I had been struggling, and now I am making all the money I need. Some might call it coincidence, I call it karma.
