oh lordy help me
Long story short we had 2 years of a financial nightmare thanks to the policies of our USMC. Insert grumbles and months of me forgiving red tape and concentrating on blessings. This year we are caught up on bills and I have LISTS of things to be thankful for, so a small group of people in our community helped us out with some groceries. We just paid our November mortgage IN November for the first time in a LONG time, so we are soooooo close, but still falling a bit short. So, back to my point. This group of people adopted us as a family to help out and I was debating whether to tell them we are vegan because I didn't want to seem ungrateful, but at the same time I didn't want to compromise my beliefs. So, I subtley added it in not entirely sure if anyone noticed. I figured if it wasn't vegan I had friends I would pass it along to, but much to my shock and amazement they bestowed us with an animal friendly Thanksgiving feast to have this year, along with enough groceries to feed our family of 4 for the week after thanksgiving as well! It is times like that when my entire faith in the human race is renewed once again. I love people. So, this brought about the idea for next year that I am going to start a group to provide food and gifts for people next year. We can be on the other side and can provide healthy, vegan foods and meals for people like us who aren't quite on their feet yet. I love this time of year. Love, Jenni
